Microsoft Office Excel 2013 - PowerView is not working

Good morning,

I am trying to assist one of our users with the PowerView feature in Excel 2013.  I have enabled the PowerView feature in Excel 2013.  I have enabled the add-ins for PowerView and Pivot Table, and I see the PowerView Report option on my Insert Ribbon, and I have a PowerPivot Ribbon.

I found a tutorial video on how to use PowerView to create a PowerView report, however, it is not working.  I select the data from my spreadsheet that I want to use in my PowerView report, save it to a table, place the cursor inside the stable and then go to Insert and click on PowerViewer Report.  Nothing ever opens, instead all I get is an Opening Power Viewer pop-up that says it is "Working on opening Power View sheet..., with a scrolling green status bar that just sits there and does nothing.  I click Cancel, and it still just sits there saying it is cancelling, but never cancels.  I end up having to go into Task Manager and killing the Excel Process.

I have look at Policy settings and Registry settings to see if I can figure out if something is turned on or enabled that is preventing this from working, but I am at a loss.  I am hoping someone on this fourm can help/assist me in getting this to work.  My user said that this is a nice feature to have, but not critical to him being able to do his work.  So if anyone has any suggestions on why this is not working and what to do to get it working, I would be most grateful!

Thank you,
Ms. Lawrin Walker
