For clarification, my issue occurs on a Windows Server 2008 RT Standard terminal server, using a terminal server license of Excel 2013.
Previously I had Excel 2013 installed on the server, but the new version of Excel seemed incompatible with some of our other software. Because of this, we removed Excel 2013 and installed 2010. This did not solve our issues, so we decided to return to Excel 2013.
Now, when I reinstalled Excel 2013 everything worked fine. I can open and use Excel without an issue, and so can almost everyone who logs into the terminal server.
The trouble is, my boss cannot open Excel 2013. Every time he attempts to open it Excel begins it's first time configuration, runs the configuration, restarts the configuration, runs the configuration, and restarts the configuration again over and over. Once in awhile it will shot down Excel and say that Excel has to wait for another application to stop using the OLE.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks!
