We have a spreadsheet in 2010 Excel (64) that has pivot tables and data tables built from an 2010 Access DB (64). The Access DB is comprised of linked tables to our 2008 SQL server, with queries built gathering data from a variety of those linked tables. The spreadsheet calls the data resultant from those queries. The problem we experience is that intermittently, we see the above error (The query did not run or the database table could not be opened. Check the server or contact the Administrator.). There is no real consistency to this error message - just this morning, we received the error 3 times in a run opening the excel spreadsheet and refreshing data. the 4th time it refreshed fine, same for the 5th, then the 6th we received the error again.
Does anyone have any potential insight as to what is happening here?
