I cannot create new file (.xslx) inside a folder with right click.
- I work with excel 2007 in window 7. Usually I create new files (.xlsx) by right click while I am inside a folder. But recently I have lost this opportunity. Now whenever I open a folder and want to create a new file (either .xlsx or .doc) I right click there. But there I find neither excel file icon nor word file icon. Power point, Access, Publisher file icons can be found there at that time. I do not know how I have lost the opportunity. Being failed to create files inside a folder now I go to start button or office button to create a new file.
- But I want to have the previous opportunity so that I can create a new file (excel or word) while I am visiting inside a folder. Is it possible? Thank, Nurul Amin.

Sorry we couldn't open xxx.xlsx
Hi Guys, this is my last resort to post here since I can't find the resolution.
I have this excel file 10 mb store in one of the window server 2012 as file sharing.
When I try to open the excel file, I got the error as stated on the title "Sorry we couldn't open xxx.xlsx".
I Tried to copy the file out but I got another error instead " Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
So far I haven't really try to restart the server.
Anyone got similar issue before?

Select Attributes in multiple Excel slicer and Applied Together on Chart simultaneously
We have a Pivot Chart in Excel using lots of slicers to filter it. That Chart has Connected to SSAS to show multidimensional Data.
If we want to filter Chart, you Must choose Slicer1 , change its attribute , it will be applied on chart , then Slicer2, Change, Apply , ..... have lots of time consumtion for end user.
How can We select some attributes in more than one slicer and apply it to chart simultaneously؟

How to break Total values to display Precedent Values
I have a regular task that involves calculations using Excel. The task is like this:
Offering - 67,000
Tithe - 130000
Thanksgiving - 34567
Total - 231567
The challenge here is not the calculation problem. But I have large number of people submitting their reports with various
value as above but different figures.
I want to automate the task in such a way that they will only give the me the TOTAL and Excel will help me break it into
various values as above.
For instance if they give their TOTAL as 231,567 - I want Excel to break it down into
Offering Tithe Thanksgiving
67,000 130,000 34,567
If another person gives his TOTAL as 250,000 Excel should break them according using the pattern above.
I am wondering if this is logically and mathematically possible.

Insert a row with VBA
I use the following to insert a row. After execution, everything is right except the formula in Cells(LastRow+1, 1) is not changed.
For example, LastRow is 10. Formula in Cells(10, 1) is =SUM(A1:A9). After execution, Cells(11, 1) is still =SUM(A1:A9) where is wrong? Thanks.

unable to close excel file- Excel-2013
Hello Excel Experts,
I am unable to close a specific excel file when I have multiple excel files open under "separate" excel window or instances. The only way I am able to save and close any particular excel file is if I save the fist opened excel file.
I just want to make it clear when I open multiple excel file, they open in separate excel windows/session and not with in the same excel window or workbook.
I want to be able to close any give excel file for a set of multiple open excel files , without having to remember which excel file I opened "first" . Is there a solution to this.

I am unable to edit Box & Wisker graphs in Excel.
Hello,
I am unable to edit Box & Wisker graphs in Excel.
the same date can be used to generate a different graph that i can edit without a problem.
opened new file, new sheet, new data, still can't edit the Box & Wisker.
This means you cannot move the title, legend, size of the plot (internal area) or anything else like you can do with other graphs. The object is selected, you get blue dots around it, but you can't move it or change it.
if it helps, when i tried inspect workbook, these graphs fail on "check accessibility" and "check comparability" .
I also think it is related to Excel updates, as i was able to work with those graphs normally before.
now i have Version 1610 build 7466.2038
two support guys weren't able to help, had no idea what the problem is...
please advise promptly, it prevents me from completing an article for more than a week.

Microsoft word 2016 wont connect with Microsoft Excel when creating a pie chart (MAC)
I use the pie chart function in Word a lot since I am a student and need create charts for presentations.
However, lately there seems to be some issue when I try to use this function. As of recently, if I open Word go to insert and select a chart ( typically a pie chart) it attempts to open excel but then I just get the color pinwheel. It pinwheels for about 1 min then gives me an error code to send to Microsoft. Not sure what is going on here and it seemed to have happened overnight since I used to use this function without any problems just a month ago.
Any help here would be much appreciated.

Excel formula
I'm hoping someone can help me. :-) I've been trying to figure this out and I just can't get it.
Cell F11 has a simple formula in it =sum(51-E11)
Problem is I have some cells in Column E that =0 because Columns A through D do not contain numbers yet
Problem is because those empty rows now return the number 51 because the formula brings back a result of 51
So what I want to happen is If E11=0 I don't want the cell to just stay as 0.
I just can't figure it out.
I tried =Sumif(E11, ">0" sum(51-E11) but I know this is wrong

Password Removal Excel 2010
I have an spreadsheet which is password protected. Not an issue because I know the password. The issue is, when I want to send it to another person, I don't need the spreadsheet/workbook protected because the receipient will need to alter it for their use and this is being sent to many users. W/ Excel 2003 the ability to remove the password protection feature was easy, Tools>Options>Remove Protection but I cannot find that w/ Excel 2010. I have gone to File>Info and File>Options but nothing allows me to "remove" the password.

I just can't understand why I get this message. Why excel is telling me there is a formula and I should use single comma to mark as a comment when in that field is required a formula.

Memory leaks in Excel 2013 for dynamic charts
If create several charts (Stock-'Open-High-Low-Close'), which is dynamically updated (for me it is RTD, about 1-20 updates per second, every bar can be updated separately), you will see increasing of the memory consumption by Excel up to error message 'There isn't enough memory to complete this action...'. If I delete charts, so only data in the cells will be updated, memory consumption will not increase. How it can be fixed?

When trying to save a modified Excel file, which has been opened from a network share, our users are receiving the following message:
Someone else is working in "\\domain.com\users\username\Document.xls" right now. Please try again later.
The clients that have been affected are Windows 7 clients, and the DFS share is being served from a Windows 2012 server. I have already confirmed that DFS replication has not been enabled, so it isn't trying to lock files for replication. I have also disabled any real-time scanning that is occurring on the client to make sure that the AV software wasn't locking the files. I did notice when viewing the list of Open Files from the server's Computer Management console that when a users experiences this issue the file appears to be opened 4 times. Three times it shows that it was opened in Read mode and the 4th instance shows an Open Mode of Write. Typically, a file which is working correctly should just show one instance with the Open Mode of Read+Write. None of these open instances are temporary files preceded with a ~.

Office 2016 save to UNC FAILS (Known BUG of 2010 and 2013 solved by PATCH)
In office 2013 the problem was solved by mso2013-kb2889848-fullfile-x86-glb
and editing the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\General
adding EnableSimpleCopyForSaveToUNC ad a DWORD value set to 1.
The same issue was present in OFFICE 2010 solved by a PATCH (i dont remeber witch one)
and the same registry modification.
Is there a PATCH for 2016 ? Tryng to install that doesn't work
Could you help with solution for 2016.

Unable to refresh data in a PivotTable in excel when connecting to an OLAP cube
I have a PivotTable in excel 2010 and I have changed some of the data. How do I refresh the data, without recreating the PivotTable again, to reflect the data that is at the source in the cube?
I have tried the refresh button however that doesn't work and I can't find any other posts that are similar to my situation.
