I would like to ask a question concerning the performance of my computer with powerpivot.
When I like to refresh the data source, the peformance is very very low. It takes ages to refresh, or the computer crashes in trying it. The datasource is not particular large 32MB.
The computer I use is an HP Elitebook 8760w with 20.0 GB of RAM. So this is quite a powerful computer.
When I pop up the performance monitor, I notice that the system only allocates about 1GB or RAM to excel. I both use Windows 7 professional 64bit and excel 2013 professional plus 64bit.
Why does my system not use the full memory available? Why is the performance so slow, even if the powerpivot size is not that large?
