conditional printing

I have some drop down menus created using data validation (they use a list but have the error alert turned off so that users can select from my drop down list or enter whatever they want manually). when the cell is not selected it just looks like a blank document. When you click on the cell the drop down menu arrow becomes visual. I want to be able to show where all the drop down menus are (utilizing borders or highlighting the cells or some other method) to make it easier and clear to the user. I do not however want to print the borders, highlighting, or other formatting. I only want to print what they have selected from the drop down menu.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?
