Hello,
We have a Shared Excel File on a remote server. This file is accessed from 3 different location.
The thing we try to accomplish is that when User 1 changes something in the Excel file a mail will be send out so user 2 will be alerted of the change. User 2 then can log in on the remote server and do his things and after the change a mail will be send out to user 3.
Tracking the difference between different users might be a bit complicated (if possible @ all) so just one email adress could be used where all 3 users have access 2.
Ive tried a tool what monitors changes in the folder, but opening, saving and closing an excel sheet changes the file 7 or 8 times.
An non shared excel file is changed 2 times and sometimes 3 time. This makes it impossible to send out correct signals from the tool i have been using (DiskPulse in this case)
Is it possible within Excel to track AND send a signal something has changed by email?
I do not actually have to see the changes in the email, just that something has changed.
Thx
Dennis
