Hello, I am struggling with my chart colours in excel.
I am using a scatter plot to present data, now I made several graphs with the same species (around 10) but different properties (3).
Now when I copy paste the data of the 3 properties together in one graph and delete the data of the irrelevant species I get what I want: a chart with two species and 3 different properties. The axis labels are the same so no problem there.
I do have a problem differentiating the different graphs because excel took over the colours form the original graph and since there are 10 species is a properties chart the colours get really fade and there is little difference between the 9th &10th.
Now I would like to reset my graph so excel gives the data sets the primary colours of the theme and not the 9th and 10th.
The same problem arises when you plot a lot of data and change the order or delete sets: the curve colour stays the same, even if you change the theme colour they still receive colour nr 9 and 10.
I know I can manually change the colours and I know that I could make a new graph directly with the species data but this is not what I want. My data set is massive and selecting the plotted data once and make a chart and then copy paste the chart data to other charts is the fastest way to work.
In short I would like to give my data colours easy to differentiate and this in a fast way.
Any ideas?
ps: I'm using excel 2013
