The issue can be reproducible by following the below listed steps in Excel 2007

  • Enable the track changes option in Excel 2007
  • Copy the whole existing row(Row No -9) and paste it in the empty row(Row No-11)
  • The existing row has some values in the columns A,B,C,D and has empty cell in column E and again some values in F,G,H columns.
  • Save the excel file and changes will now be tracked
  • The history sheet will contain the track changes will be available only for the columns A,B,C,D in the Row No-11.It will not have track change for column E and the track changes for thecolumns F,G and H are NOT TRACKED.
  • It will not capture the track changes of cell values after the empty cell value.
  • The same scenario can be reproducible only in Excel 2007 and it's working as expected in Excel 2010.
  • Please confirm me that the scenario is the known bug in excel 2007
