PivotChart series formatting is lost

Dear,

We are running into a strange issue with PivotCharts.

I created a simple pivottable based on an Excel table. In the graph I show two measures; the first one (omzet) as a column, and the second one (marge) as a line

If I choose year 2011 and prod2 in the slicers Excel produces an empty pivottable and graph. Wihch is OK, since there is no data for this combination.

When I clear the slicers Excel refreshes the Pivot table and Graph and the formatting in the graph is still ok. So far so good.

When we do the same in PowerPivot we see the following behavior:

1) No problem so far, now let's filter on 2011 and prod2

2) This is ok, since there is no data for this combination.

3) Now when we clear the filters both series are show as a column. Initial formatting is lost.

This behavior occurs on PowerPivot models but also on traditional Analysis Services cubes.

Any ideas, tips?

Kind regards,

Frederik
