We have a user who is creating graphs from Pivot Table data in Excel 2010 (64-bit).
When the graphs are initially created Excel continues to run as normal. As soon as a style template is applied to the graph, the sheet with the graph becomes unresponsive and any interaction takes around 2-3 minutes to feedback on the screen.
Creating a new template has the same effect, and the template just consists of font size and border adjustments.
Other sheets in the workbook don't suffer the same problem, it's just the sheet with the graph.
Whilst we've been able to ascertain that it's the style template that is causing the performance issue, we're at a loss to explain to the user why this is happening.
Have been able to reproduce the problem on another PC running Excel 2007.
Any answer as to why this is happening would be great, as the user isn't satisfied (and I see her point) with the findings that it's the style template causing the problem.
Cheers!
