If we have a data hierarchy (Excel Power PowerPivot, MS-OLAP) and if we used them in Excel which is causing the problem for hierarchy problem
Re-creation steps
Create a hierarchy in Excel PowerPivot or MS-OLAP and keep data with double quote in one of the hierarchy level
Create a Pivot Tale from the above data source (Model) and apply the filter on the hierarchy on the top of the level which has the data with double quote at the end. Keep add data filter one by one. Excel will lose the track of the filter without reporting any error
We found it was the limitation with the excel pivot reporting (both in 32 bit and 64 bit and Excel 2013 version (tested with 32 bit)) of handling double quote (“) in the drop down hierarchy. In Excel drop-down filter losing its filter information if double quote is used in anyone of the drill-down level.
Any workaround please?
