Hi,
At work I've been tasked to develop a dashboard using a report I created in Access. It's for tracking surgeries at a hospital. Here's part of the data set
Case Status | Case # | Division | Billing Provider | Invoice # | DOS | Total Charges
Posted | 99801 | Ortho Surgery | Dr. Pierce | 9876542 | 5/22/14 | $1000
Unposted | 99802 | Ortho Surgery | Dr. Pierce | 9876543 | 5/24/14 | $11,000
Cancelled | 99803 | Neurology | Dr. Allen | 5/25/14 | $5,500
Cancelled | 99804 | Neurology | Dr. Allen | 9876544 | 5/28/14 | $2,000
Posted | 99805 | Urology | Dr. Garnett | 9876545 | 5/31/14 | $1,000 |
Here's how the director would like the pivot dashboard (for every field, she'd like the ability to click in and drill down into the data)
(All Surgical Divisions to go Across top Row)
Total Booked Cases (Count of Total Case #'s)
Cancelled Cases: Count of "Cancelled" under Case Status
Billed: (Count of cases with an invoice)
Billed/Cancelled: Count with "Cancelled" cases that have an invoice (this is possible)
Variance: Total Booked Cases - Cancelled Cases
Variance Total Booked Cases - Billed Cases
To add one more layer, the director would like this done with minimal manipulations done to the data table (i.e., create a count formula for cancelled cases and sum in pivot)..
Might you have an insight? Thank you,
