Hi
We are trying to provide 3rd party access to an Excel 2010 file that resides on our systems and we would like to disable all controls, menus, etc (The access part isn't an issue) . The particular file has data connections to one of our SQL DB's and updates itself from the DB. It also uses macros.
The Microsoft Excel Viewer would have been ideal as it has very little functionality or menus, the only problem is it doesn't seem to run the macros (or at least I'm pretty certain it doesn't!?) and so it never updates itself.
I then began to look at the available ADM files hoping that I could use Group Policy to disable all the menus or run in some kind of 'Kiosk' mode but I seem to have hit a wall here too............... I have also looked into publishing it as a 'refreshable' web page
Has anyone had to do something similar or have any idea how I can achieve this?
Any input would be most appreciated
Regards
Dominic
