Date only in US format in Excel PIVOT TABLE when connected to Team System Olap Cube

I was referred to this forum from Microsoft Office forum. The issue is withDate Format in Excel Pivot Table when based and connected to a TFS Olap Cube. Date Fieldsappear in this Pivot Table only in US format, i.e. mm/dd/yyyy or mm/yyyy, and whatever we try to do, nothing seems to affect this format - it remains US format.Needless to say the region definitions in windows control panel are localized to a dd/mm/yyyy or mm/yyyy format. The problem is both in Pivot Tabel and Pivot Chart.

We didn't find solution or bypass in MSDN or other internet forums. We're specifically using TFS 2012, office 2010/2013 but needless to say we're not the only ones experiencing this issue, as it appears on other entries, however no solution yet.

I was suggested in Office Forum to custom select the format desired in the field tab properties where "number format" apears, but there's no tab in the field setting window to set the format, when the field in question is Date Field.

Kind thanks in advance, and just to clarify we can live with US date format as such, but obviously we'd prefer the localized date format.

Pls see Screen Capture.
