Adding cubeset results?

Revised question: Cubeset seems to provide the ability to return an array of dimension "filters", but not the actual values... those can be pulled individually using cubevalue or cuberankedmember.

Is there any way (any way at all) to return an array of actual values from a cube, in one call? I've tried variations on array formulas within the cube formulas, but that doesn't seem to work. I want to pull monthly values for a year, and be able to port them into a graph data source, without using twelve helper cells.

{original question below}

Hi all-

I'm not even sure how to ask my question, so I'll provide an analogous but simplified situation. Source data is in an AS cube.

Cube contains data on sales by month, by type of fruit (apples, bananas, pears, grapes, kiwi, and so on).

There are "fruit managers" who are not in the cube, but who each own several of the fruit sales:

Joe: Apples, Kiwi, and Mango

Beth: Pears, Grapes, and Blueberries

Pat: Bananas, Oranges, and Pineapple

I can pull the data for each fruit separately (year over year sales, etc) and I can add those up in my report to provide high level summary information for the fruit managers.

Now, however, I want to be able to graph the sales by month for each manager, including all of their fruit as one line. The graphs will two lines: prior year (all 12 months), and current year (as many months as are available).

I'm thinking that the way to do this (without a whole helper worksheet) is to use a cubeset, but I haven't even started figuring out how to add up the results of multiple cubesets [each of the fruit that roll up to that manager] and make sure that the summing is being done across months and not some other dimension.... and then if there is any easy way to push that into a graph's data source?

Just looking for the voice of experience from anyone who has already tried this, what works and what should I avoid. Thanks!!
