I have an ActiveX combo box on an Excel 2010 worksheet. The ComboBox_Change and ComboBox_GotFocus events have both been defined and for many moons both were working and doing what they were supposed to do. Now, after who know what modifications (AND, as luck would have it, on the day of rollout), the GotFocus event is not firing, whereas the Change event continues to work as designed.
As I understand it, if I am in the combo box, and make a selection (or even if I don't), and then click out of the box onto some other part of the Worksheet, and then click back on the box, the GotFocus event should fire as soon as I click on the box.
This is how it had been working all during testing. But now, if I put a breakpoint into the GotFocus event code, nothing I can do will reach that breakpoint.
The application is very complex and has numerous points where Application.EnableEvents is set to False and then later set True. But I rule out that as a problem because I think it is an all or nothing proposition, and if I can see that the Change event is triggering, then so should the GotFocus event.
Any idea how I can proceed to troubleshoot this?
