Dear Users.......i have one question about vlookup and my office version is 2013 professional, let me explain my question. i have two files one file is product-prices.xlsx and another file is customer-inquiry.xlsx. normally when a customer send an inquiry i vlookup it in product-prices.xlsx file and reply. yesterday i received a customer-inquiry all the cells had green triangular on left and the part-number cell was left aligned, which is mostly right alined because data type of this cell is NUMBER. when i clicked on one of cell is shows an error message with following options..................
--Number stored as text
--convert to number
--help on this error
--ignore error
--edit in formula bar
--error checking option
i copied all the cell and pasted
if i vlookup as it is the result is nothing.so i selected all these columns and covert there data type to NUMBER but still they are now working.one thing which is very interesting for me that only first cell value is being searched after that there is no any result.......
