We use an add-in piece of software called XRL to connect our Pegasus Opera Software to Excel. This works successfully in all earlier versions of Excel and I followed the same process to set-up on a new PC running Excel 2013. The installation
appeared to be successful and when I open Excel I can see it is loading the add-in but the add-in menu does not appear. I have made sure the add-in is active and followed the advice of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2761240 to close and restart Excel.
I also tried changing the trust center settings for add-ins to tick "require application add-ins to be signed by trusted publisher" and for macros to "enable all macros" that worked for someone else but all this does now is when I open excel the add-in menu appears along with a message that "Application Add-ins have been disabled" and the option to "enable content". When I choose "enable content" the add-in menu disappears. If I don't enable the content the add-in menu remains showing all the correct options for the software but they are all disabled.
Does anyone have any ideas of what else to try.
