XLSX file opened from SharePoint Library in Outlook will not Upload when Excel Exits
We have a SharePoint 2010 library that has Excel and Word documents. We have the library linked in Outlook 2013. When we open Excel files from inside Outlook and then edit and close Excel 2013, we are not getting the prompt to Upload them to the SharePoint
server. However, if we choose File | Close then Excel gives the Upload prompt. It just doesn't appear if we choose to close the whole Excel application. This seems like a bug, but I can't find any information on it.
Word documents work just fine with either closing the file or closing Word. So, we don't know why Excel would be different. Is there some option in Excel that could be affecting this?
