Include Filtered Items in Totals Option in Excel 2010 Does Not Work With Value Filter and Multiple Filter Selections

I am creating a pivottable in excel 2010 with an SSAS cube data source.  if i use a value filter of top 10 and select pivottable option "include filtered items in totals", grand totals include all data (not just top 10) if i have no filter or if i filter for one value (which is desired result).  If i select multiple values in a filter, column totals revert back to just being totals of the top 10 rows, not all rows of the data.   e.g. if filter is by year and i select 2008, total for column is all values for 2008 not just top 10.  if i select 2009, total for column is all values for 2009.  if i select 2008 AND 2009 in filter, total for column is only total for top 10 in the combined 2008 and 2009 data.  the "allow multiple filters per field" check box does not seem to have any effect.  This seems to be a bug... any help would be appreciated.
