Excel 2013 - Can you customize the default Line Style Choices in the Quick Access Borders Dropdown?

Excel 2013 - We have added "Borders" to the Quick Access Toolbar. The most commonly used Line Style around here is Dotted and not the solid line that is the default choice in the QAT Borders Command.

1) Is it possible to change the default Line Style that appears in the QAT Borders dropdown to the style that we use most - so that we don't always have to go to the "More Borders" option or mess around with "Draw Borders" to change the line style (and deal with that annoying pencil) each time we start?

2) Assuming that the answer will be that there is no way to permanently change the default line style, and we will continue to have to use "Draw Borders" to change the line style that will be used from that point forward, can someone tell me how to make the pencil go away once I've chosen the line style? I'm only using "Draw Borders" here because this lets me change the line style that will be applied when I use the presets listed at the top of the dropdown. I really don't want the pencil thing that appears once I've chosen a style. How do you shut it off?

Thanks.
