Hello,
I am running O365 Pro Plus, 64-bit, Excel 2013 and the most recent version of PowerPivot. I often use PowerPivot for large data analysis and my files are between 20 to 500 megs. For my PowerPivot data model, I import the tables from Access and often create customer fields/columns (not using DAX).
Here's my issue. After I've imported my data, created a few Pivot Tables and saved my file without any issues, when I open it again I get an error message saying that "the file is corrupt." Sometimes I can recover the "data" from the Pivot Tables, but the data model is gone and I'm left with a flat file. It's hard for me to resolve this because there's no indication that the file is corrupt when I'm working in it so it's hard to trouble shoot.
The only thing I've noticed is that it only happens when I update the data model from a previous file rather than starting with a fresh Excel file. Could this be the issue? I would rather not have to build a file from scratch every time a use PowerPivot.
Thanks in advance for your help:)
