I have a spreadsheet which makes use of picture links and the INDIRECT function to show one of the pictures depending on values in another cell. There is no VBA in use in any
of the workbooks I have issues with.
It's worked well for the last couple of years, until about 4 months ago.
The problem is cell comments. They are set to show only on mouse over. Either they don't show at all, or if they do, they flicker. Setting the comment to always show, it shows without a problem. The problem appears only when they are hidden (and set to appear
on mouse over).
If I remove the picture link from the sheet, the comments work fine.
As I mentioned, this behaviour is relatively recent (a few months). Before this time, I had no issues with this issue and Excel 2013. Excel 2010 is not affected.
As an example, if you take a look at this workbook which also uses picture links, then add a comment in a cell, I can see the same flickering/no show behaviour for the comment as my own excels....

Deleting the picture from the sheet, the comment works perfectly (mouseover, shows up)
Currently now on Excel 2013 SP1 and the behaviour is still screwed. Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?
