Hi, I have searched and not found a solution to my particular problem. My team has queries embedded in Excel 2010 workbooks. I was able to run them until I got a new PC. Now I get the error TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified. ODBC connections exist and test successfully. I can access the oracle 10g database directly so Tnsnames is fine. Same slqnet.ora and listener.ora files as a colleague who can run excel queries. ODBC data source name established is same as used by the excel queries. PC is Windows XP. Even tried setting environment variables that a Windows 7 colleague has ORACLE_HOME and TNS_ADMIN, no luck. I can create a brand new query in same workbooks using the same ODBC connection and that works. Just made sure Oracle 10 drivers are up to date and still no luck. Anyone have ideas on what setup is missing/wrong?
