Excel keeps crashing and all formating is lost

Hi,

I have developed some data entry files for a dashboard that i have developed. Theses data entry files have no macros or any coding except formula calculations and I use them to pull data using links into my dashboards.

I have developed this files using Excel 2007 version and now I am using them with 2010 version for people to enter the data from their departments. Once people paste their numbers in the correct cells under current week/month, save and close the excel file the problem appears once we re-open the file. The file has crashed and all the formatting is gone although the formulas and data are still there and i can get the correct results from the formulas. (Before we close the file there is not sign of any problem or issue. We are not using a huge amount of data and every month people enter information to maximum 20 cells).

I have tried to completely rebuild the files but that didnt work and we are still facing the same problem.

The files are saved on a server that a number of people can access them and enter their data. All our computer have Excel 2010 version and the server runs Excel 2007 version.

When I was reading in the internet to find the answer I read somewhere that IFERROR formula can cause excel to crash? Is that a valid statement? All my files use IFERROR formulas but I never experience such a problem before.

Did any one face this problem before and has any idea what is causing it?

Thank you in advance
Andreas
