Our company is in the middle of a Windows 7 deployment and one of our employees handle large data export reports from a database in the form of a ASCII tab delimited text file. When doing this process in Windows 7 she uses fixed width to choose where the data is selected from the wizard and in the end result the data that she selected is not in the right spot. With the amount of rows that she deals with on a daily basis we need this information to be consistant. When she does this on a XP system there are boxes that represent the tab delimiter and is able select those rows out and all of the data ends up in the right spot. Is there a way to fix this and have a reliable import feature?
