Updating the version on a table populated from Master Data Services (MDS) with the excel addin

Hi,

I am using a Master Data services (MDS) table that is using versioning. We are updating the versioning to a new version every few months. When I start a new connection it always correctly goes to the latest version. However if I refresh an old table that is already loaded into my excel documents it always points to the same version.

Is there anyway to easily update this to point to the newer version when older versions get closed?

Our naming is systematic so I could also do this with a VBA script but I would need to be able to check if a version exists. Additionally, if I create a new MDS table by going through the 'connect button' it breaks all other formulas in my excel document that reference the original table.

Any help would be appreciated
