How do you create a bar chart when you have the x and y values?

I have inserted a chart covering data that has 2 columns.

Problem is, I get a chart of 2 data series, but that isn't what I want.  The first column is the x axis value, the second column is the y axis value.  However, I cannot figure out how to tell that to the chart.

How do I create a bar chart where column 1 is the x axis and column 2 is the y axis?
