Remove password on excell 10

 I cannot remove my protected password from an excel 10 file. I have clicked reviewreview after opening the file with the password, I have clicked onthe "unprotect file" and reentered the password twice as told. The tab then says "protect file"  but when I save and try to reopen it requires me to reenter password again.
