Since a few weeks ago I've noticed a bug in Excel when I want to search for something, where I paste the search term into the Find what box.
It seems that sometimes when I copy data from a cell in Excel and paste it into the Find what field, Excel is adding a carriage return at the end of the search term. This means when click on Find, no results are found.
This behaviour is erratic - when I copy exactly the same cell again and paste it into the Find what field, it does not add the carriage return and finds the data I am looking for.
It's quite hard to replicate this or get a screenshot. What I do have is a screenshot of the Find what drop down box showing the history of searches. You can clearly see that the same search term is in the history twice. Obviously the history only shows unique items (it does not repeat the same search term more than once). This proves that the number I am pasting in is different in both cases.
I hope the above is clear. Please advise if this is a known bug
